Riders Character Info

The Riders are the first, and really only, of the Izanami-Psuedo-Monsters. They are the only "artificial" psuedos, while the three Izanagi-Psuedos are "natural", or at least created by nature. Despite being experiments born from normal monsters, the Riders are very stable, and rival the power of the three Izanagi-Psuedos.

The main distinguishing feature of the Riders are the giant monsters they ride. In the process in which they are created, Izanami separated the soul and the body of her monsters, using Soul Dew to create a makeshift body for the soul, and to serve as a placeholder for the soul in the body. This causes the body to become larger and more monstrous, while the soul is able to take on a human form, although they are loyal to the evil Izanami.

The monster on which they ride can take on just about any form. Generally, the more powerful the Rider, the larger the monster. They have little will of their own, being both verbally controlled by their Rider, and being able to sense their emotions for limited empathetic control. When the Rider is not mounted on them, such as being knocked off during a fight, the monster will still be able to register that their enemy is there, who it is, and that they shouldn't attack their rider. The relationship is much like a master-pet one.

Beyond their physical size, Riders have little abilities to show off. The Riders are able to compress their monsters into small, pendant-like objects for easy transport and allowing them to more easily blend in. When in this form, the monsters are little more than jewelry, being unable to more or think (what little thoughts monsters had before).

However, when the Rider is sufficiently powerful enough, they are able to access their most powerful (and also their only) ability. Their fingertips glow with blue energy, and they jab them onto their left breast, around the heart, which is where their soul is sealed. This action allows some of their soul to seep out and rejoin the monster body, unlocking a new form and power, but causes them great pain. After the ability wears off, they are incapacitated for the remainder of the fight. The length of time they can hold the form depends upon their own power.
